Everything exceeded our expectations; hotels in the Highlands often charge steep prices because of limited availability, yet the Albannach’s rates matched their high standards. The hosts were very friendly, and their local knowledge of restaurants and walks made our three‑night stay perfect. We’re grateful and hope to return if there’s availability, as it was far better than any other place we stayed during our two‑week holiday in the Highlands.

The spot is unbeatable, and the Byre itself was gorgeously decorated and spotless. The hosts were wonderful, and breakfast scored a perfect 10/10 thanks to the amazing produce. The garden was absolutely stunning—everything was flawless. I’d definitely recommend this place; it feels like a real home away from home, a true gem.

Breakfast was fantastic, so much so that I’d come back just for that. The owners are lovely, friendly, thoughtful, and always ready to help. The downside is the slope and steps leading up to the suite, which can be a challenge if you have mobility issues, especially when it’s wet.

Everything was spot on. The room was incredibly comfortable and came fully equipped. Breakfast was delicious, offering a nice variety beyond the usual fry-up. The owners were super friendly and well‑versed about the area, and the view overlooking the water was perfect. The beautiful garden added an extra touch of charm. Nothing to complain about—everything was flawless.
