“My first capsule stay was a great experience”

The place was clean, the capsule was spacious and comfortable, the dining room was good and the walk‑in fridge was a blessing; the location was great, and there was nothing to dislike.

The pods give a private feeling even though it’s a hostel, and the location, check‑in procedure and space are good; however, the pods are extremely noisy—although you’re in a private pod you can hear all the voices and movements of people in their pods. To shower you can rent towels for €7, which I find too expensive for a borrowed towel, though the accommodation itself is a good price; €7 for a towel is too much. At check‑in I was assigned a pod that was not working properly from the start; after 10 minutes the door finally opened and I thought I could leave my stuff in the pod, but when I returned the door wouldn’t open again. I finally called the staff number, and it turned out I had been assigned a pod under repair. It was odd to get that pod, but my stuff was still there; after 15 minutes I managed to open it, but I had not yet been given a new pod. A staff member and a colleague on the line were a bit difficult with me when I arrived, and I was assigned a pod that was under repair, which was not my problem but theirs. I told them I could get my money back and book a hotel or a new reliable pod, and eventually I got the last one, but it was not a pleasant start.
