The grounds were spotless, tropical, and perfectly situated. The pool was a lifesaver during the heat, as were the water station and ice machine. The downside? The poolside guests were annoyingly chatty and pretentious.

We’ve stayed here twice now; the location is great and parking is easy. The hotel has a cozy Key West vibe that we enjoy and everything is within walking distance. The pool was refreshing and clean. However, I’d have liked a King bedroom – the rooms need a refresh, and a palmetto bug was in ours. The front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, similar to past visits, while the rest of the staff were friendly but spoke very little English. Hot water was out for most of our stay, which was a bummer, and the breakfast could have been slightly better.

The spot’s location and vibe are spot on.

The hotel sits in a prime spot in Key West, so you can walk to almost everything. The breakfast is decent, even though there are only four tables. It’s still crazy that in 2026 people are smoking around the pool, not just tobacco, and there are no signs saying it’s not allowed. The mattress in our room needed a replacement because it looked like a whale had slept there before. Paying $350 a night, even during a Jimmy Buffett or Labor Day weekend, feels a bit overpriced.
