“The most helpful and interesting hosts”
Terrific place and the nicest, most helpful hosts possible. They helped me with a big problem with my bike, going out of their way to provide service far, far beyond what could be expected. Nice, simple breakfast in a gorgeous setting, the house is lovely. Highly recommended
“TRES BON SEJOUR”
We didn’t take the breakfast, but Mr. Gilbert had excellent communication with us, calm, friendly, and very cultured. The GPS got us a bit lost, though.
“Rustgevend”
The garden was absolutely silent, and the pool was crystal clear, just as the French would describe it.
“Excellent and excellent value for money”
We were greeted by a lovely couple, and the location was perfect for our nearby activities. The rooms felt cozy, and the breakfast was a tasty, authentic French spread. No complaints at all; it was wonderfully comfortable.
The pool was a highlight. We arrived during a heatwave and received no notice, so we expected at least a tolerable place to sleep—without waiting for AC, just a minimum for rest. The temperature under the loft was so high we had to sleep elsewhere; it was simply unbearable. When we explained this to the owner, he considered the situation normal and offered no adjustment to the bill. We used the pool during the day, but its filter seemed broken, attracting wasps and flies. A full refund wasn’t expected, but a gesture covering the total would have been the least we could ask. In short, a dollar is a dollar for him, and it’s unfortunate to stay in a room where it’s 35 °C under the loft. Heatwaves are unavoidable, but honestly, you should close your guesthouse if you can’t provide decent sleeping conditions.
