“Parfait”
The hotel is close to Ubud’s center and very quiet. It’s always a pleasure to return to Garden View. The staff are lovely and attentive to our needs.

The location is great! The street has several restaurants and laundry is available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bedding is good and towels are delivered daily (which is a relief because with the humidity and slow drying, nothing would dry). The room was dirty and dusty.

Our experience at Garden View Ubud was very disappointing from the first night, even though we had booked eight nights and ended up leaving after the third night, losing the money for the remaining nights. When we arrived, we found dirty sheets with holes, dirty towels, curtains in poor condition, and the bathroom was far from clean. The next morning we notified reception and they said they would clean it. While we were out exploring the area, they did change the sheets and towels to clean ones. However, upon returning, we discovered that items had been moved and we realized we were missing money (3 M rupia). We can show photos, but it was our first night and we had exchanged the money the night before, so we couldn’t have lost it elsewhere… I’m insisting, it was the first night! This situation already eroded our trust. We tried to discuss it with the staff to clarify what happened, but they denied any responsibility and we couldn’t prove it because there were no cameras inside the room. The experience was unpleasant from the start due to the lack of hygiene and room quality, which worsened after the money incident. We didn’t feel comfortable or safe during our short stay and would not return or recommend this accommodation. I still remember arriving as a family making some sort of complaint at reception, and after finishing and passing by my side, the staff said “Good luck.” I didn’t understand at the time, but we soon realized what they meant.

Breakfast was good and fresh juice was served with a smile; the friendly check‑in man was Gede; I found a great book to read in the book cupboard; the location was very central; it was very quiet. The bathroom was clean but the floor tiles needed a wash. The floor mat was very dirty; the bathrooms need a renovation but that would cost a lot; instead of the bath it would have been better to have a walk‑in shower.

It’s a lovely, quiet, and spacious place to stay. The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms spread over two levels, with large, comfortable beds. There’s a balcony and a terrace with a sink and a water dispenser, which is very convenient. The swimming pool is lovely, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay! A few things could be improved: the pillows were too hard, there were no hand towels, and the bathrooms lacked hooks to hang towels or clothes.
