Very very good breakfast. Lovely High Tea. Shower plumbing and screen doors were issues.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Excellent staff and service, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Taxi to Meilan airport $10

The Pullman Haikou was an extremely well‑presented hotel with an excellent room and lovely grounds and pool area. Our flight to New Zealand departed at 3.30 am, which meant we had to check‑out at 11.30 pm, so we didn’t get to stay the night and actually had to make sure we didn’t fall asleep! The hotel was in a great location and reasonably priced to relax and rest up prior to the long‑haul flight home. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They sorted out taxis for us and had people able to speak English rather than just using the translate app on the phone. Nothing was wrong, everything was good.

The pool, hot springs, and staff were positives. The breakfasts were mediocre, and the coffee was a real disappointment (the cappuccino from the machine was more than half a mug of milk and two drops of coffee, no exaggeration). The location was average.

The hotel is the best in Haikou, giving me a 9.0/10 rating.
