How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The house is lovely and the owner is helpful and very kind. The room itself offers good value for the price we paid. The only issue was loud water in a neighboring room or somewhere in the building that woke me up very early. I didn’t like the location, too far from decent restaurants, but it was close to a coconut place with sunset and turtle beach. Nevertheless it was my choice, not the hotel’s fault. Overall a very good experience for a one‑night stay.

I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka three times now, checking out a bunch of guesthouses and hotels, even ones with high ratings, but this place is simply amazing. The whole place is spotless, the rooms are tastefully decorated, and you just feel at home. The kitchen is huge and stocked with everything you could need. The host is super friendly and helps out whenever she can. The location is great too—just a few minutes from Turtle Beach. Oh, and thanks for the tasty welcome drink!

The cleanliness is outstanding, the owner is incredibly kind, and the location is fantastic—close to a good café, shops, and La Mer restaurants. The shared kitchen is well equipped.

Everything is great—an incredibly sweet host, a superbly strategic location, everything within reach, and a pleasant atmosphere. The only downside might be that the space feels a bit cramped for three people, and the bathroom connected to the toilet is very small, but we managed.

I can confidently say this is the best guesthouse in Sri Lanka. The courtyard is full of flowers, beautiful and well kept. The house is large with a huge common area, the kitchen is big, clean, and equipped with everything needed. The fridge is good and new. The room is spacious, the toilet is very clean, and there’s a water heater. The AC works well. The linens are spotless. In short, everything is perfect. Traveling with a child made all of this especially important for us. The host, Punsara, is a very friendly woman who let us use the washing machine as much as we wanted. Thank you so much. I now know that if I ever go to Mirissa, I’ll stay with her again. I’ll miss her!
