The food was exceptionally good and varied, the pool was great, the beach was close by, and the room was large and quiet.

The pool parties, vibe, staff, and weather were all great, but the restaurant selection was poor since some were closed, making us eat at the same spots nightly; many dishes arrived cold in our rooms, which was disappointing. Rooms with ocean views were nice, yet they need updating.

The Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen offered an amazing experience with delicious dinners, a wide range of restaurants, and diverse cuisines throughout the stay; the pool area was spectacular, perfect for relaxing with a drink, and overall everything felt well‑cared for, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged for a fantastic vacation—definitely a place I’d return to. The only minor hiccup was that some restaurants get a bit crowded, requiring a wait for a table, but everything else was well organized and I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

The staff, cleanliness and overall functioning of the facilities were excellent. However, the beach assigned to the hotel is covered in stones; beyond the seaweed, the shore is unusable. We also wanted to use the pool, but the best spots around it required a rental fee of $100‑$140 per day, which seemed excessive. At 6 pm the bars closed, so if we wanted a drink we had to walk to the lobby bar. The afternoon food service was limited – the poolside bar offered very few choices, and only guests who rented sunbeds could access a wider menu, which felt unfair for an all‑inclusive rate. The entertainment was poor and boring; on our fourth visit to Mexico we expected better shows, perhaps with mariachis, but the performances fell short.
