“Friendly staff but awful room”

The dinner we had at the pub that evening was tasty and the staff were friendly, but this was one of our one‑night stays during a recent family holiday and it was by far the worst (and also the most expensive). The family room was dingy and stale, the bath was unclean with visible mould on the tiles, the bedding was shabby and the carpets were stained. Although the staff were friendly, the breakfast was poor quality and very limited. This hotel needs a complete overhaul and significant investment.

“Wir haben mehr erwartet”

The location is good and the staff are trying, but the room is very old and dirty. Even the tables in the restaurant were sticky. It’s acceptable for one night, but no more.

“Functional for a family of five - safe and well located”

The location is handy as part of a longer drive to the Western Isles. We arrived late and the key was left out with no problem. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful with food allergies. The family room was a good size but felt a little musty on arrival. There weren’t many staff around on arrival and they were also fairly scarce in the morning, but they were helpful when they were there.

“Great location would book again”

The location and the outdoor menu are good – the staff are very friendly and welcoming, but there was no music.

The location is close to where I needed to be. The sheets and towels were clean, there were tea and biscuits in the room, and breakfast was good. The décor is dated, a bit scruffy, the room is basic and smelled musty. It’s on a busy road.
