I was in the area for Longleat and the attached restaurant was spot on; the staff were brilliant and overall it was very good value for what we paid. I couldn’t fault it.

We stayed one night during the UK heatwave and found the room comfortable, spacious, very clean, with a comfy bed and a huge bathroom; a fan was provided, which was welcome in the warm nights, and there was a good selection of tea and coffee. Breakfast works differently here: you pick from a pre‑set sandwich menu and it’s delivered to your room the night before, served cold. The on‑site Italian restaurant was fantastic and a real highlight, and every staff member we met was friendly and welcoming. At check‑in, the manager Piotr kindly carried our bags to the room, and at check‑out the owner gave us extra bottles of water for our road trip, a thoughtful gesture that left a positive impression. The location suited us, with free parking and WiFi, and it was reasonably quiet because it was a Monday‑night stay. The bathroom could use a few more hooks or rails for hanging towels and clothes, and depending on what you plan to do in the area you’ll probably need your own car or some transport to get around easily.
