I had a strong desire to stay in the suite with a canopy bed overlooking the garden, featuring the yellow floral wallpaper (room 17 could also be booked by someone else if they wanted it 😉). I called to confirm its availability, and the kind lady—who I think was named Casey—arranged for me to be in that room after I booked. Later that afternoon, she and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and kind. Everyone is sweet, tidy, and calm. The house has beautiful spaces: fantastic rooms, a superb dining hall, a nice lounge/living area with a bar, and a garden where you can sit comfortably. It’s about 10 minutes to a quarter‑hour walk to the center, so it’s within a pleasant walking distance. The “normal” breakfast costs £7, while a warm breakfast—full vegetarian English breakfast or something with eggs or a crepe—costs £14, and you can upgrade your coffee during breakfast to a cappuccino or latte for £1 per cup, all very reasonably priced. I felt like a princess during my stay, and I thoroughly enjoyed it—definitely recommended! It’s on the pricey side, but almost all hotels in Bath are like that, and you’re treating yourself to a fantastic (idyllic) stay in Bath. ❤️

Great location for driving guests. Parking costs £10 but is convenient. To reach Bath’s historic centre, you can take Uber, a taxi, or a bus. The room was beautiful and spacious, the bathroom was very clean, and sweet touches like water and chocolates upon arrival were lovely. Everyone was very friendly! The only downside was the effort required to bring luggage up to the room, but that was offset by everything else.

The only good thing was that the city centre was a 15‑minute walk away if you stroll at a good pace. Everything else didn’t match the description: a “big room” turned out to be a tiny, cluttered space, and “big bed” meant a 140 cm bed. We stayed in a basement room, so it was dark with no natural light. The reception and staff were not very friendly, and there were no parking spots.
