“Место, куда хочется вернуться”
It was the best place for all 10 days in Georgia! We were with family on our first trip to Georgia. We planned a route to stay in different places each day. We spent 3 days in Svaneti. We really wanted to stay with a local family to immerse ourselves in the local life and feel all that color. Thanks to reviews we found Galina and Zviad’s house, and it was the best of all the places we stayed. A very large and cozy home full of love. Galina cooked a huge dinner to let us try all the best Georgian dishes. Especially her homemade cheeses – they were delicious! Zviad offered homemade wine. Then until 2 a.m. we listened to stories of Svaneti, local traditions and customs from Galina. We were so glad that the family spoke Russian without problems. In the morning we had a very hearty breakfast with a “smorgasbord,” adjusted the route together, they told us about interesting local spots we must visit, and we set off. All days we drove along the ridge left and right. We stopped at local cafés, but for breakfast we always came by Galina on the way. On the last day we cancelled the booking and stayed the same night in that house because you feel you’re always welcome and it’s interesting to hear the stories of the place. When we come back to Svaneti with hikes next time, we will definitely ask to stay with this wonderful family! Health and prosperity! We’ll come back again.
