“Gute Lage, tolle Zimmer – aber mit deutlichen Abstrichen”
The hotel’s location was truly superb for us motorcyclists, and the brand‑new, modern room exceeded our expectations, leaving nothing to criticize; breakfast was decent and sufficient for a regular start to the day. However, the façade gave a slightly off‑putting first impression, and inside the property feels a bit plain in spots and could benefit from more upkeep and updating. Our dinner experience was disappointing—the restaurant shut its doors at 5 pm on Sunday, yet they kindly offered us a quick schnitzel, fries, and a green salad. While we appreciated the gesture after a long ride, the meal turned out to be wildly overpriced. We hadn’t asked about the cost beforehand; had we known, we would have declined and driven to another eatery. When staff offer “a quick bite” outside normal hours, a price heads‑up should be standard. In the end we paid just under €75 for fries, schnitzel, two drinks and four ice‑cream scoops. Overall the stay was mixed: the location and new rooms were fantastic, but the exterior look needs work and the dinner pricing lacked transparency.
