The stay was nice, comfortable, and overall we had a good experience. The location was convenient and the accommodation was pleasant. However, the AC was the main issue; it didn’t work properly, and adjusting the temperature made no difference. I think the host should have mentioned this before we booked, as it’s a crucial factor, especially in warm weather.
The availability and price are great, and there are no complaints.
The location is good, right under a great café that serves croissants and sweets in the morning, ready meals at noon, and pizza and pasta in the evening; nearby are many cafés, a McDonald’s open late, KFC, Burger King, and pizza places, especially one with traditional recipes cooked in a real oven. Supermarkets are within walking distance. The Tiberina train station is reachable directly from the airport by train, and the metro station is a fifteen‑minute walk or bus ride away, with a stop right in front of the building. The room was cleaned and the beds made daily, and towels were changed after three days. Because of circumstances, we had to book these apartments while already at Rome’s airport, so the choice was limited and cancellation was not possible. When we approached the entrance, we had to call the owner to unlock the door remotely; the message was in Russian: “including taxes and fees.” Upon arrival, a very nervous, emotional woman met us. The owner called her and explained that we still had to pay a city tax of 7 € per person per night, totaling 126 € more. Despite our objections and sending her a screenshot of the booking translated into English, he calmly said we had to pay or call Booking. He also sent her a screenshot of part of our registration in Italian showing the 126 € amount. We couldn’t reach Booking on Friday evening, so we paid cash. Then we asked the woman to show us the room, and she struggled to get the air conditioner working, talking on the phone while getting very upset. Note that this is one of the rooms in an apartment with a shared corridor and kitchen. There’s a capsule coffee machine, a kettle, an electric grill, and only a few spoons, forks, and knives; no cups or plates. There is a bar counter with three high stools, but don’t expect to sit there because the laundry machine is in the back room and the apartment turns into a laundromat. The linens and towels dry directly on tables and stools in the kitchen, creating an uncomfortable, humid environment. If noisy neighbors in the building are filming in another room, you won’t be able to rest. The neighbors above moved metal‑legged chairs all night. We don’t like sleeping with the AC on all night, but we had no choice.
“Cumple para estadías cortas”
The place is in a good spot and the manager is very friendly, but the street noise is noticeable, the air conditioning only cools a little, and the beds creak when you move.
The room is spacious, clean, and fully equipped. The host is kind and helpful, making the stay perfect.
