The location, staff, and property were wonderful, staying in a modern yet historic building. Reception looked grand, the restaurant was historic and well‑appointed, and the room was clean and tidy. Staff were very welcoming. It was a one‑night stop but the most comfortable. As a higher‑priced choice I expected a few simple adjustments: the room lacked bedside tables and a place to store a suitcase, and the only mirror was in the bathroom, which was less convenient for my wife doing her makeup, but nothing major.

The hotel's location was perfect, but unfortunately, it was marred by a strong chemical smell in the room, especially in the bathroom. The staff, however, were a highlight - friendly, helpful, and welcoming, with a special shoutout to Angel, who went above and beyond to assist me with my SIM card issue. The room itself was just okay, with a thin and lumpy mattress, but for a one-night stay, it was sufficient. I'm not sure I'd want to extend my stay, though, given the chemical odour.

The hotel's breakfast was a highlight - they had a great selection of food and it was all really tasty. However, I wish I'd taken a peek at the hotel's website or called ahead to get a better sense of what to expect. The photos and descriptions don't always match up, and I was a bit disappointed when I arrived to find that the hotel's lobby and rooms were a bit worn and could use some updating. Still, the staff was friendly and the breakfast made up for it.
