A gorgeous jungle hideaway with direct canal views, well‑furnished and surprisingly luxurious for the price. If you’re traveling with a backpack, let the host know you’ll need help moving luggage from the road, and be prepared for a bit of buggy travel since it’s in the jungle.

Near the river, the view is unbeatable, the room is spacious and tidy, and the balcony and terrace are great for relaxing; the vibe is chill and enjoyable. Plenty of nearby facilities and restaurants, plus a new coffee shop in the rice fields that I recommend. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The entrance is a narrow dirt track, not paved, so a car can’t enter; you’ll need a motorbike or to walk. I had no problem with this because I was touring with friends on a motorbike, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re arriving by car.
