The location is perfect for hiking, but there was no buffet—only reheated rolls were offered, and nobody asked if everything was fine or if I wanted anything else. Paying 11 € for breakfast feels unjustified.

The place sits in a wonderful, quiet spot, with a large balcony and a private parking spot. The beds are comfortable and the price‑for‑value is solid. Frau Lopez was a very friendly host.

We enjoyed a pleasant stay in a spacious, fully furnished apartment that we had booked for a week and a half. The large balcony offered a view of the garden and forest, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. From there you can walk to the Baumwipfelpad with the viewing tower just 400 m away, or to the Wildline nearby. The village has several dining options; we recommend Restaurant Wildbader Hof. We were in Bad Wildbad during a very hot summer week (+35 °C), but hiking under the trees on the Sommerberg is still great. The Kaltenbronn information centre, where a boardwalk trail starts to a small lake, is worth a visit and works well with kids. At the Grünhütte you can’t miss the delicious pancakes with Schwarzwälder Kirsch. The only downside is that the apartment rent must be paid in cash on site; credit card or bank card doesn’t work. We knew this beforehand, but it would be better if the payment could be arranged at booking so you don’t have to bring cash.

We had a great apartment with a lovely balcony, a good bed, and a nice kitchen equipped with all sorts of appliances. The location was beautiful and the train to Bad Wildbad was very convenient. Walking paths were right outside the door.
