We were impressed by the quality and variety of dishes served at both breakfast and dinner, truly enjoying the cuisine. The check‑in was a disaster: the room wasn’t ready, they wouldn’t let us check in before 15:00, the directions to the restaurant were wrong, and the staff didn’t speak any English, making the arrival very rough.

The staff were incredibly friendly and their heartfelt hospitality surprised us several times; if you want to feel Japan as it might have been 30‑40 years ago, stay here, dine here, and soak in the onsen. We found nothing we disliked, though the hotel could use some renovation soon; it remains authentic, clean, and charming.

We booked the room with a private onsen, which was a great way to unwind after a long day. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and served with care.
