The location and outdoor space were good. The hotel was poorly maintained and poorly managed; staff made no effort to fix room issues, the door lock malfunctioned, the room had a bad odor, and I had to wait 45 minutes to check in after the 3 pm check‑in time. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience.

“Property needs serious attention, look elsewhere”

Good location, nice staff. Our room smelled strongly of mildew… and trust my, i am not that guy who thinks black mold was created by the devil… I usually do not care but this was a smack in the face when eh door opened… also when i woke in the morning to get a shower, no hot water! My wife had taken a shower the night before and said she had to let it run a long time to get hot water. in the am, no hot water after close to 10 min. The 3rd thing is the facility is clearly in need of repair and update, cracked sidewalks, broken doors…nothing terrible but we paid about 400 bucks for one night! By that measure, clearly this was not worth that kind of money… this is 120 buck max

After a five‑hour drive we reached the hotel and Jenny told us we had no reservation, even though we handed her the confirmation number; she added that “they no longer honor reservations.” When I asked if any rooms were left, she said “we are almost sold out.” She seemed uninterested in reassuring me that we wouldn’t have to leave our luggage and family behind. She offered to call her manager, and thirty minutes later we were on our way to our room. I politely asked if an upgrade was possible, but she replied, “you already have a one bedroom.” The pool and hot tub area could use some TLC; the property is clean, and another front‑desk attendant, Tamika, was friendly, but the beds were uncomfortable and the pillows weren’t the “Marriott” quality we’re used to. A local guy who somehow gets onto the property hangs out by the pool and bothers guests, and staff say this is an ongoing issue. Overall, I was disappointed with how my reservation was handled and I’m not sure they would honor someone else who booked through this app.

“Mixed. We were not treated with courtesy at the front desk.”

The room and amenities were fine, but the check‑in took us half an hour. The front‑desk clerk couldn’t find our reservation even after I showed her my confirmation number. She eventually said, “Oh I was looking it up under Susan (my first name) not Cavo.”
