The lodge was gorgeous, the breakfast superb, and the staff were incredibly helpful, but there was no one on site after certain hours if you needed assistance.

The room was lovely with a great view, the staff were wonderful, and the bartender at the restaurant was a delight; everyone was friendly and the food at the Twin Owls was very good, though the ice buckets were on another floor instead of next to the ice machine.

The views at Taharaa are stunning and the rooms are cozy, and the spot is convenient for RMNP, Estes Park, and Mt Lily, but the hotel sits on a busy road so traffic noise lingers until about midnight if doors stay open, cutting into the mountain breeze; plus the AC in our room failed and staff said it probably needed replacement.

The view was great, and leaving coffee at the door at 7:00 am was a nice touch, but traffic noise was constant, the first room’s mattress was worn, we were moved to a bigger room after bee stings on the deck but it was still noisy, and breakfast’s ketchup and jelly packages were old and inedible.
