“Schöne Cafés in der Nähe des Hotels”

The hotel is close to several nice cafés and restaurants, and a bus stop is just a minute away. Extra towels were hung on the door. The elevator was hard to use because it was always full, and we once had to wait 14 minutes. The front desk didn’t handle our requests; we had to message through Booking instead. The room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals, and at night a foul sewage odor drifted in from outside, so we couldn’t keep the window open.

Very clean and comfortable. The views were amazing. There is only 1 minor thing: the notification with the door passcode arrived just before checkin. We had to ask the lobby downstairs for wifi to read my email. Then when we checked out, there were instructions sent for checking out which arrived at 0830 that morning but we had already left the property and since we had a hectic tour all day and didn’t check in to our hotel in Gyeongju that evening, did I access my email. It would have been nice to receive the checking out email, the evening before. Luckily, it all worked out

When we stayed on one of the upper floors, the view was amazing and we caught the sunrise around 6 am with a clear view of the sea; at the foot of the building there are plenty of cafés, and for better fish dishes you should head toward the harbor. The beach experience was great. The facilities were generous, with plenty of spare towels, a tea kitchen, a washing machine, and an automatic toilet. The staff spoke only a few words of English, but they were helpful with gestures. A heavy‑smoking guest’s fumes drifted into our room even at night. The room service never arrived, even after three nights. In the dimly lit lobby bar, the music was too loud and kept playing at the table.

“A convenient and comfortable base for exploring Sokcho”

The location was very convenient, close to the Express Bus Terminal and a solid base for exploring the city. The bed was comfortable and the room was on a high floor, which we liked. We could darken the room completely at night and also open the windows for fresh air. A washing machine in the room was very handy. Communication was easy, with quick and helpful responses via the messaging system. Occasionally cigarette smoke from other apartments seeped in when doors in the building were open. The elevators sometimes required waiting, especially during busy times like checkout. More hangers would be nice (common hotel issue 😉).
