The Hakuba Station Room

“深夜到着でも快適に宿泊できました。”

We were arriving at Hakuba Station around 23:00, a little before midnight, and there were only a few places that could check us in at that hour, so booking was a challenge; we found this one. On the day we arrived, it was just a few minutes from the station, which was a real relief. The next morning we woke up to a clear sky and the mountains of Hakuba right in front of us—an excellent location. The facilities and cleaning were just right. I’d use it again if I ever come back.

The room was on the second floor of Hakuba Station. The room and the unit bath were clean, which was good. The entrance was a bit confusing, and the exterior stairs looked slippery and scary. A projector was installed instead of a TV, but there was no manual, so I didn’t know how to use it, and the wall color wasn’t pure white, so the image wasn’t clear and I didn’t feel like watching it.

The price was decent, but the hotel’s signage for the first‑floor and second‑floor entrances needed to be enlarged, the bathtub leak was dangerous, and when I wasn’t there the air‑conditioner kept running during this scorching season, cutting the room temperature to a painful level—maybe a radio would help keep guests informed.
