It was good enough that I added another night, but the main staff member was not welcoming at all, a scary guy.

The location is easy to access, close to the city center and the city entrance.
The behavior was unacceptable and the facilities were insufficient—far from good. Aside from the hotel’s good location, the stay was terrible. We stayed for one night and had no hot water at all. When we called the owner to address the issue, he told us at 22:30 that hot water would be ready in 45 minutes because “he would turn it on now.” As a result, we had no water that night and also none the next morning before we left. When we asked for an explanation, the owner reacted poorly, refused to acknowledge the reality, and demanded the full amount of the stay, even though his services were severely lacking. His behavior, whether or not he wanted to drive us away, was completely unprofessional. Anyone planning to visit Edessa should choose another accommodation.
