Nothing good. The smell was intense—whether mold or a person who hadn’t showered for a long time—when you entered the room you immediately caught a bad odor and the bedding was filthy, the blanket and pillows were awful. To get to the toilet you had to walk about 100 m, and if you were very eager you could skip it; next to the room was a dry toilet, sauna, and shower that were dirty, and the kitchen was unkempt with cobwebs and nettles growing right through the ladder. The lake water was knee‑deep and dirty, the dock was crooked, and there were several clients, apparently about ten rooms in total, even though we had come from Parainen, over 1000 km away, to enjoy a short break. As soon as we bought the room we were told we could cancel, and the host claimed he could refund half of the 120 €—that is 60 €—because he couldn’t give the room to other guests, but Booking knows this is wrong because we immediately declined and, as I said, there were no other guests. We arrived from over 1000 km away to be disappointed and pay 60 €. The rating is awful and they try to justify themselves.

“Luonnonläheinen ja persoonallinen, edullinen majoitus.”

Quiet, all the essentials, nature around, friendly owners. The fridge is noisy. The mattress is rock‑hard (back hurt badly). The toilet is a walk away. The cabin doesn’t have a sink (but the price is cheap, so maybe don’t complain about the missing sink).

The cabin is small but cozy, and the veranda is great for evenings. The surroundings are clean, the grass is mowed, everything is neat and beautiful. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. The barbecue setup is old and broken (wobbly), so I had to use my own grill. There is a dock, but you can’t swim because the bottom is rocky. The toilet is outside, wooden. The kitchen, while well‑furnished, is thirty meters from the cabin. The toilet, by the way, is also far away.

The private location and the calmness of the place are really good. Quick responses to messages and questions during the stay. Knowing the size of the tiny square would have been helpful before booking. I managed fine and the cabin was lovely. It felt like a vacation staying there for a couple of nights. I liked it and will definitely come back if I need accommodation heading toward Joensuu. It was great that I could bring my dog, and it was a successful weekend at the Joensuu exhibitions. The lack of a fire pit was a problem, and the instructions were missing, but that got sorted out. The fire‑wood was good for the fire. A motion sensor light could be on the trail to the beach, the dunes, etc.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. There were issues with the drinking water.
