The staff across the lobby were polite, friendly and very attentive, and the wellness area was truly impressive while the setting promised peace. Unfortunately, the other guests ruined the atmosphere—on Friday a group of French families arrived for the weekend and showed no regard for anyone else, wearing swim trunks and tank tops in the dining area, which felt like a blatant disregard for basic dress standards. I would have liked the hotel to enforce a minimum dress code for safety and comfort; seeing someone in flip‑flops with unsightly toenails at breakfast was unsettling. The behavior at the buffet was downright disrespectful. The pool was taken over by a rowdy family, and the highlight was a toddler swimming in a diaper. Although the spa is supposed to be for guests 16 and older with a guardian, after fifteen minutes it resembled a football locker room, with staff only clearing the towels strewn on the floor. No supervising staff were present the whole weekend. Model airplanes were being tossed onto the parking lot; when we warned the father it wasn’t safe for the cars, he ignored us, so we moved our car farther away. Later, football was still being played there until just before 10 pm. On Friday and Saturday, loud forestry work with chainsaws and tractors went on for hours—something that could have been scheduled for the off‑season. The hotel is beautifully situated, but finding any quiet seemed impossible.
