Since we jog, the location was ideal for us. The owners were very accommodating. A bonus was the children's playroom. We can only recommend Pension Eliška.

The spot is spot on for its location, comfort, and spotless cleanliness.

The place is perfect for trips to the western side of the Jeseníky (Paprsek, Smrk, Lipová, etc.), easy to reach and a little out of the main tourist bustle of Branné. The new, tidy, and well-equipped guesthouse has owners who are very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable with full facilities both in the guesthouse and the kitchen, and a large balcony overlooking the surrounding hills. Across from the guesthouse sits a decent restaurant, so you can dine right at home. Parking is right outside the guesthouse, but if you want, you never really need a car during your stay; there are plenty of places to walk to. On the downside, it’s clear that the whole center is geared toward winter operations; in summer the activity is about a third of what it is in winter, which is typical for most Czech mountains. The nearest grocery store is in Ostružná, which might feel “really far” to some, but that didn’t bother us.

There were no other guests, so we even had the kitchen to ourselves. Everything was very well taken care of and the beds were deliciously comfortable. A very odd drawback: there was no mirror in the bathroom, even though it was new. That will probably be fixed soon. In the meantime, there should at least be a mirror in the hallway so you know how to exit the room. The shower head couldn’t be hung above your head either; you have to hold it in your hand. You can secure it at waist height, but then it streams horizontally, which isn’t pleasant but will likely be resolved quickly.
