They let you lock your bikes, the restaurant is great, the breakfast is excellent and made to order, and the staff are friendly. However, even as a guest you’re not guaranteed a table in the evening, the restaurant is bigger than the hotel, there’s no front desk in the hotel, only a counter in the restaurant that isn’t staffed all the time.

The building looks nice with a lovingly maintained exterior and a pleasant guest lounge. The hosts are friendly and the mattress is comfortable. It sits conveniently on the Weserradweg but the town itself is quiet. At check‑in we’d liked a drink but had to wait an hour for the restaurant to open, and there’s no other place in town to grab a drink. The rooms were modernised but feel a bit haphazard and lack the same level of detail that the exterior and dining area have, which we found a bit disappointing.
