We stopped at this hotel to break our journey home from the New Forest, and it was lovely. The rooms were spotless and the hospitality tray always had tea, coffee, milk and sugar. We dined at the Paisley Pear for dinner and the food was great, with excellent service, and the pub was a nice spot for evening drinks. The staff were attentive and friendly, though the air‑con wouldn’t go below 19 °C, so we felt a bit warm at night. A bottle of water and a few biscuits on the hospitality tray would have been nice additions.
