The room’s size was a plus. The room is at the bottom of a garage, has a water‑damage‑like smell, a mini fridge that’s burnt and just emits heat, a broken shower and dirty, the hand shower had a crack and water was leaking from the handle. This place wasn’t exactly what I had imagined.

Close to Parc d’Asterix, the host gave simple and precise explanations and the room was clean. Thanks, Blandine, for your welcome.

The owner was friendly! Everything else was fine, but the room is in a garage.

The room was damp, so the sheets stayed wet. It was on the garden floor with a tiny barred window that actually sits below the floor level. The mini fridge boiled like a heater. The shower was dirty and splashed back; the shower head was broken and the shower mat was so grimy I didn’t even put my feet on it. Repairs were makeshift. The bed shifted so much that it felt like it could break with any movement. There was no quiet at all – the owners’ footsteps and loud conversations carried through the night until past midnight, and by 7 am a child was playing right outside the window. Honestly, I rarely leave comments, but this experience was truly awful.

The room was clean with good bedding, and the theatre Germinal was close by. The downside was that the room was in the basement, so it lacked natural light.
