“Gorgeous hotel for a honeymoon”

We stayed at the Fortress for six nights during our two‑week honeymoon in Sri Lanka and had an amazing time. The property is lovely, the food is great, and the staff really made it special for us by taking us to feed turtles at a nearby beach and organising a teppanyaki dinner (Shehan and Meril made this so fun!). We would definitely recommend it to others and will visit again.

“A Perfect Anniversary Getaway”

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary by returning to our honeymoon destination, and it was a wonderful experience once again. The service and overall experience were just as good as our previous visits. The staff made special arrangements to make our anniversary stay even more memorable, and we truly appreciate all the thoughtful touches. A special thank you for accommodating our late departure as well. And if you’re staying at The Fortress, don’t miss the spa treatments; definitely one of the highlights of the stay! Thank you to the entire team for making our 10th anniversary so special. ❤️ Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Beautiful pool, gorgeous 5*hotel with amazing ocean views!”

We spent a fabulous 3 nights in the Fortress at the end of our Sri Lanka trip and wished it was more. The swimming pool was a massive hit with the family, the staff were amazing and the rooms incredibly comfortable. We especially liked the in room jacuzzi. With the monsoon weather and sea spray, the floors and stairs always seemed a bit slippy but staff did try to to keep on top of it. Restaurant was very pricey
