“Peaceful, relaxing, and exceeded expectations”

From being welcomed with a very warm reception, to the immaculately kept cottages, the River Cottage is an easy 12/10. We were very impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was, providing quality coffee and ensuring that kitchen utensils were all available. The views are absolutely stunning, the area is quiet and peaceful. The hosts are welcoming, communicative, and easy-going. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be visiting again!

I was blown away by the place—far beyond what we imagined and fully stocked with everything you could need. As an Airbnb host myself, I felt it was worth every cent and would recommend it to travelers everywhere. The spot right above the river offers the best view in the Eastern Cape, and Leon is a genuinely friendly, attentive host—very professional, thanks Leon! Nothing else mattered; it was the best, safest stay in the area surrounded by nature.

A quiet retreat with river views both up and down and an amazing sunrise. Plenty of space to avoid any hustle or bustle, yet close enough to amenities when needed.

Beautiful and private. The checkout time was 10:00 h, which would have been nicer if it were 11:00 h.
