The room sits in a pretty spot amid a less charming area, and the owner was super helpful, arranging activities (the guide for the Batur trek was awesome!), meals, and driving us to an ATM when we ran out of cash. The area, however, is pretty noisy, with chickens nearby and jeeps coming and going for Batur, though it’s a bit farther out so it’s quieter than spots closer to the mountain.

The garden was beautifully kept and made a striking impression. The clean, cool air gave us a real sense of relaxation both in the morning and at night. Thanks to the Mangku family and staff for their assistance and delicious food😍
