The location and evening meal were good. We had asked for our room to be cleaned because we don’t smoke, but it wasn’t done, which was very disappointing. The breakfast buffet was a stampede as 30 people all tried to get food at the same time.

The place was decent, and having a buffet added a nice perk. Getting there was straightforward. The downside was that our room was under the restaurant, so we could hear footsteps and the clatter of chairs—if I recall correctly it was H 517. It looked a bit old.

After finishing my bath, I stopped by the lounge for a quick break and found a bowl of night‑roasted soba. The staff there were locals, so I got to hear some stories from the area. However, half of the shower heads in the large bath were broken, and even though I arrived early for check‑in, I was treated as if I was late. I was surprised that shoes had to be removed to enter, but the shoe box didn’t distinguish room numbers, and the slippers were filthy and made me feel uneasy. I had no other options and almost wanted to cancel my stay. The lighting was dim, so I couldn’t see the sagging carpet, and because the slippers were worn out I kept nearly falling. The panoramic bath was unusable due to a fault. I had booked a room‑only stay, but when I asked for dinner two days before, they refused. The room’s light switch was only at the entrance.

The equipment and supplies were plentiful, and the staff were energetic and seemed sincere. Breakfast had many varieties, and the quantity and quality were satisfying. I thought it would be nice if there were numbered clip‑like tags on the slippers that let you tell which are yours when you take them off at the bath entrance, to keep cleanliness. My wife said she would have liked bath hair caps, and she heard the same opinion from other women she met at the bath.
