The view is great, and even though the hotel feels a bit dated, it still has a certain charm.

The suite was a bit Spartan in its furnishings but impressively spacious, and the price‑to‑value ratio for such a large room is absolutely fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Apart from the partially staffed reception, there are no other amenities in this somewhat oversized hotel.

We were disappointed by the lack of a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival; the reception seemed to be loudly gossiping about other guests, which was unkind and you could hear everything. The first room we got was dirty, with a stain on the bed and hair on the floor, giving it a hostel vibe. We paid 6 € for a parking spot, but when we returned late from an event there was no space available, and the reception was closed the next morning to sort it out.

This is a top‑class experiential hotel; as soon as you step inside you feel transported back to the DDR. The night tables are sometimes too close to the bed, so you can bump into them.

The quality and price matched, but the reception was only open for 3 hours a day.
