“Oh dear.”

Not a lot, but it does have a lift. The hotel sits on a dark, dirty side street and the rooms were not very clean; they never cleaned ours during our stay. Some rooms lack windows, and the first room we got was a family room with no windows. We were moved to a smaller room that had a window, but the windows were dirty. The AC and TV were present but didn’t work, and there were no remotes. A kettle was only available if you asked, and there was no fridge. Windows were soundproof, but the door was not, and the reception area, especially in the evenings, was noisy with music videos playing. Apart from the manager, staff spoke very little English, and I don’t speak much Hindi, so communication was difficult. There is no on‑site restaurant; you can order food in, but nearby restaurants are not great, so it’s best to take a tuktuk to the better part of the city. They advertised a 10 % discount on food and drink, but it was not applied. They also claimed a one‑way airport transfer was included, yet I was told I had to pay; I ended up ordering a cab, but the driver wouldn’t answer calls in the morning, so I told the hotel to forget it. We walked to the end of the road and got a tuktuk, which was cheaper, though it can’t go all the way to the terminal building—just a 100‑200 m walk. Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards foreign guests expect; maybe domestic guests would find it acceptable. It was not good value for money and I would not recommend it—at best a 1‑star.

They never asked us for breakfast, and the room was disappointing.

This nice property is near the Golden Temple and ISBT Amritsar on the main road; the rooms were very nice and newly furnished, and the staff were supportive and friendly.
