The campsite had everything we needed – a kitchen stocked with cutlery, a fridge, hot water in the showers, a heater inside the tent and a bright lamp – and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. The only real downside was the lack of Wi‑Fi and the fact that the tent canvas showed a noticeable mouldy patch. It’s a bit of a walk from town, which makes it peaceful but also a little inconvenient.

The setting is stunning and the hosts are genuinely friendly, making the stay feel special. Nothing else to complain about.

The camp was quiet and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked, which made it nice for a restful night. Unfortunately the bedding was stained and smelled damp, so we ended up using emergency blankets, and there was barely any drinking water – only a faulty pump and a shared jug. The dining area and toilets were far from the tents, and we had to share a single table, which was inconvenient. To top it off, the kettle was covered in limescale and the cups were cracked.

The place is lovely and the bed was really comfortable, but they never mentioned that you could book the hot tub in advance, which was a bit disappointing.
