Nyumba Tamu

When we booked our stay in Watamu we were torn between a resort and this house, and we couldn’t have chosen better! The property is classic yet modern, with a pool and several porches to relax, but I want to say a few words about the wonderful person my boyfriend and I met— the owner of Nyumba Tamu, the very creator of the place—who made us feel at home and part of a family with his spontaneity and kindness. We will definitely return to Watamu, where a piece of our hearts remains, and we’ll book again! The only thing was that the room was a bit small, but nothing excessive; there are larger rooms available in the complex.

The owner’s kindness, the cleanliness, and the overall charm of the house were impressive. The pool allowed the children to play to their heart’s content. Thank you again; it was the best establishment on our entire trip. It is just a little off the main road, which lets you walk a short distance—about 2 minutes—to a very secure and pleasant spot.

“Good. second time visiting”

Warm welcome from Mr. Piero, Baraka and the dog. Good location and staff responded quickly. No power and no water in the morning, but after a quick message Baraka came and sorted it.

I liked how clean the place was and how kind and always helpful the hosts were. Next time I’m in Watamu, I’ll definitely stay there. Thanks for giving me a wonderful first impression of the Watamu area. Honestly… nothing… loved everything.
