The view from the breakfast room and the mattress comfort were positives. However, the room was not soundproof, the front door had too much light from all sides, the bathroom was cramped with a very small shower wall that splashed water everywhere, and there was little space for a family room with one child.

The room heated up fast, but it was absurdly cramped for two people, and the slanted wall made the space feel tilted and disorienting – not worth the price at this time of year.

The location and cleanliness were good, yet there was no lift so we had to haul luggage up the stairs, parking was scarce and I had to use public lots, and the breakfast options were only average.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel served as a solid base camp for exploring the Isle of Skye; we stayed in a seaview room overlooking the small harbour behind the hotel and enjoyed a hearty breakfast with Scottish options, toast, croissants, fruit, cereals, and yoghurt.
