A section of the garden was nicely laid out, presumably for tents. We had booked a futon and, like other guests, assumed it meant on‑site sleeping, but we actually had to bring our own tent. This wasn’t clear, so I asked ahead of time. They then offered us a room for an extra 500 DKK, which we used. In hindsight, we might have been better off with our own tent. Other guests were left without tents because they didn’t know they had to bring them. Fortunately a room was still available. The garden looked nice at first glance, but closer inspection revealed two shabby, cluttered caravans, a rusted trampoline used as a water‑pump rack, and scattered junk such as a spatula, axe, scissors, rusty screws, old building material, and more scrap. It was not suitable for families with children. There were a running wheel, a slide car, and other toys for toddlers, but nothing for older kids. Wi‑Fi was available only if you could find the router and take the password from the device. The property was overall very dirty. Even the entrance left a bad impression: a grimy staircase with tiles, hair, and grime greeted us. A bucket and half a vacuum cleaner lay in the middle of the path, apparently unused for a long time. The shared kitchen was a disaster. The table and chairs still had leftover breakfast crumbs from previous guests. The old pots didn’t work on the induction stove. The fridge was far too small for two families. There was also little cutlery and barely any clean dishes.
“Det var meget godt.”
It was very good.
It was nice that there was always toilet paper and the bathroom was relatively fresh, though I wish there had been a shower curtain because water ran onto the entire floor; the staff answered the phone each time but never fixed it. When we arrived, everything went wrong: there was no parking on the premises despite it being listed, so we had to park a distance away. The stairwell and the rooms we were shown were filthy, with grapes, hair and leaves on the beds. The mattresses were the worst I’ve ever seen, and there were no curtains or blackout blinds at all. On the first night we had no shower because the hot water was turned off. The fridge and freezer were tiny for two families, and the balcony we could use had protruding nails under the green mat. We never got Wi‑Fi even though it was advertised. That’s about it, and I’d warn others against staying here. Paying a bit more elsewhere would give you a cleaner, nicer experience. The house is hard to find because it’s overgrown, and there’s rubbish everywhere around it. Also, two completely unrelated families had to share the same room key and the same corridor door, which made it impossible to lock the rooms separately at night because there was only one key for two rooms.
“Good workers and venue with large potential”
This place has a great location, but it's clear they're still getting things off the ground. The staff are upfront about it being early days, and you can see they're working on improving things - some areas are already showing promise. However, with a skeleton staff, cleanliness can be a bit hit-or-miss, which was a downside. Still, it feels like they're on the right track and you're getting a good deal considering the potential.
