The climate was fantastic. The breakfast was revolutionary, prepared earlier at our request. The staff were very pleasant, and I felt like a prince.

The location is beautiful. It’s close to the highway for fast travel, there’s parking on site, and the old palace walls let you step back in time; the white lady isn’t scary.

The neighborhood looked nice, but the room didn’t match the pictures – only one photo actually showed this room and there was no carpet despite the image. The bathtub had a huge chip of peeling paint with rust, the bunk‑style beds were badly broken, narrow and filthy, and I only mentioned the dirt at checkout – the floor was so grimy my white socks turned black in seconds. The dishes in the cupboard were dirty, and after wiping the countertops and tables the paper turned black as well. The guys in the next room talked softly, yet every word carried through the walls. Breakfast was a mixed bag; it wasn’t terrible, but hot items were often missing and the fried eggs were overcooked to the point of being rock‑hard.

The rooms were clean, the bedding fresh, and the breakfasts were very good with a wide selection, but there was no kitchen equipment, no plates, no cups, no pans, a tiny electric kettle, no cleaning supplies, an old yellowed shower curtain, a shower head with mineral deposits, and the handle didn’t hold the shower head properly.
