“Um pouco decepcionante.”
The breakfast was tasty and well‑prepared, though the menu never changes, and the service was exceptional. However, our stay was quite frustrating, especially regarding cleanliness and bathroom conditions. The room did not match the photos; it’s an old property, which is understandable for a seaside inn, but the bathroom’s hygiene was unacceptable. The bed was tidy and the room seemed clean at first, but the bathroom smelled strongly of urine, the shower was filthy, hair was on the walls and in the shower, the floor was dirty, and the sink had toothpaste residue. In Caraíva we constantly bring sand into the room, so a clean bathroom is even more important. We were so disgusted that we avoided the bathroom and shower. I requested a cleaning, but on the first night I was told it wasn’t possible. The next day they said the bathroom had been cleaned. When we returned, a strong bleach smell suggested the problem was fixed, yet the sink still had toothpaste, the shower still had hair, and the dirt remained. It seemed they only sprayed bleach and mopped the floor. On the third day, before checkout, we showered and the bathroom flooded; the drains were completely clogged both inside and outside, making the situation even worse. The inn also has an integrated restaurant and hosts shows.
