“Exceptional customer service in a comfortable and cosy hotel in a great location.”
I can't say enough good things about this tiny hotel, especially because the staff were absolutely brilliant. Laila and Lucy greeted me in English (sorry if I misspelled their names) and kept checking in on me and offering help. A gentleman, whose name I can't recall, was waiting for me at 5am and was very helpful, though the place is small and not always staffed overnight. The best person for me was Mari, who doesn’t speak English and I don’t speak Georgian, yet we chatted happily through Google Translate. She took such good care of me as a solo female visitor staying for almost a week, and it felt like staying with an aunt. Compared with the 5‑star hotel in Freedom Square where my relatives stayed—almost ten times the price—this hotel offered excellent customer service, while my relatives were disappointed by the impersonal and rather rude service there. This isn’t a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination; it feels more like home. It’s basic but clean, located in a residential area with many little cafés nearby. The old town and Freedom Square are within walking distance. The staff made sure I had clean towels every day, and there’s a communal kettle and a fridge in the hallway. If you want a genuine Georgian experience and a comfortable place to stay, this is it. Please give Mari a hug from me when you get there (she gives great hugs). The only downside is the common issue in older Tbilisi properties: the water has a funny sulphur odor in the bathroom.
