“A really lovely break on the Isle of Wight”
The location and hotel were lovely, staff were very kind and helpful, sharing lots about the island. Parking on site was ample. It was great to have a swimming pool during the August heat. Breakfast was fabulous, and the variety of food, snacks, guides, and a small shop at reception were exceptional. A lovely couple clearly worked hard to make the hotel special and successful. A few gentle suggestions for future guests: for £15 you get a superb cooked breakfast; a family member I traveled with didn’t want cooked food but felt it was too much for just fruit, yoghurt pot, and tea, so a £7.50 or £10 option might keep it affordable. The pool needed setting up and insect skimming a couple of mornings; we wanted to swim but it seemed they were busy and unaware we were swimming. Still, we enjoyed it. A gentle pointer: Booking said sea view, but it was only a small partial view, so check with the property before booking if you expect a full view. It wasn’t a big problem for me, and the room was huge with many amenities and the bed was fabulous. Thank you for a lovely stay!
