The communal kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The dishes are washed by everyone else, but they’re unfortunately not dried and returned to their original spots, which is a real pity. The house is very noisy.

The location is fantastic, right on the lawn. It would help to add information about where to pick up keys in the property description, maybe a note on the hostel doors, because many people look for it. It would also be useful to explicitly state on Booking and in the details that early check‑out is possible, as there’s a key drop‑off. The reception sign is awful; it’s on the neighboring campground field, which isn’t obvious at all. The owners of the adjacent building have taped a note on their door saying they’re not the reception and asking people not to knock!

The view from the common room over the lava field is stunning, and the location is great. The kitchen is very well equipped. The rooms are very small, and there’s no sign for the reception. I waited half an hour in front of the building, where there was no sign at all. Thanks to other guests, I learned that check‑in is at the campground reception. When I pointed out the lack of information to the receptionist, she said it was written in the welcome message. It’s a shame there were only GPS coordinates… a simple sign at the hostel entrance or a note instead of the GPS coordinates saying you must go to the campground reception would have been enough.
