“Riad muy bonito pero con aspectos a mejorar por el precio”
Overall, the stay was fine. The Riad is very pretty, full of charm, and it has a little pool that is appreciated, plus a nice terrace/solarium. Also, the Riad was entirely ours, which is a big plus. It has four double bedrooms, three of which have private bathrooms and one does not. The housekeeper (Hashiba or Hadjeba, I’m not sure how it’s spelled) is very kind. She prepares breakfast and, if asked, can also make meals or dinners. They also offer airport pickup with a private driver from the Riad for about 200 dirhams (≈20 €) in a van. They drop you at the Medina entrance and then walk you to the Riad because the car can’t enter. The walk takes about 5 minutes. The breakfast seemed quite basic for the price: tortillas, butter and jam, coffee, a small industrial juice and industrial yogurt. One day we asked for coffee with milk and there was no milk, so she had to go buy it. We also had a timing issue: we told her in advance that we needed breakfast at 7:00 for a trip, but she arrived at 7:15 with nothing ready. By 7:35 we had to leave, so we had to improvise breakfast ourselves in a hurry. The location is on the east side of the Medina, in a deeper, less touristy area. The streets to get there can be uncomfortable, especially at night, and the surrounding area is not the most pleasant. In general, for a price close to 260 € per night, we think there are aspects that could improve.
