After our daughter stayed here two years ago, we followed her recommendation and the experience surpassed our expectations. The host, affectionately called “Opa” by everyone, welcomed us warmly. A highlight was that he even set aside time in the evening for a shared meal, during which we learned a lot about Namibia. There were no drawbacks – we could converse in German.

The spacious rooms with terraces overlooking nature were very nice. Dinner and breakfast were good, and the owner engaged us in pleasant and interesting conversations. Everything fit perfectly. Nothing to add.

The lodge/farm is lovely, situated halfway between Lüderitz and Sossusvlei. The location is beautiful, the rooms tasteful, and the owners very friendly. The food was good, served together with the owner who was very kind and informative. The only downside is that Schloss Diwisib can only be viewed from the outside, or an internal tour requires a key that must be arranged. The Guest Farm offered to get the key for us, but we declined. The road to Sesriem is poor, though the scenery is stunning.

The farm atmosphere is great, but the greeting upon arrival was unsatisfactory.
