No breakfast is offered, but several cafés next to the pub serve breakfast starting at 9 am, and pub food is available from 12 noon – all good. The staff are friendly, the location is excellent, and parking is free. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work, but a kind staff member wired my phone to a private network.

The staff are lovely, the location is good with parking, and the bar is well stocked. The room wasn’t the cleanest – there was a lot of mould in the bathroom near the ceiling, and the double bed was made of two singles that were uneven, leaving a noticeable ridge between them.

The place is clean and has recently been upgraded. The only downside is a slight traffic noise because it sits on the main road through Settle.
