The room was nice with an interesting design, but the staff was really nice and the location is perfect.

“Good hotel, teething issues with new management”
The location is excellent, the reception staff is friendly, the price is a good deal, the room is quiet even though it faces the street in the city centre, the hotel has character, the room is a good size for the price, and the hot shower is powerful. However, there was no duvet cover and we only got one after asking a couple of times (even though they said it would be sorted that day), so we received one on the third day, which isn’t hygienic. The amenities listed were not accurate because the new ownership had not updated the details – there was no kettle, so we had to ask and received one a day later (which didn’t work); the TV didn’t work. We booked this hotel because the listing said it offered laundry service for a fee, but when we asked to arrange it during our stay they told us they no longer do that and didn’t offer to help, so we spent a few hours doing it ourselves at a laundrette. The room wasn’t always clean when we left the sign asking for it to be cleaned even though we were only there for an hour between 8 am and 6 pm, and we didn’t always get fresh towels when the room was cleaned; sometimes they just folded up the damp ones from the floor.
