Nothing good. The room was nasty and very noisy all night, with dogs fighting in the hallway.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was so bad I feel I must warn others. I booked a room at Darlington Raceway Inn for about $80 after a long drive, needing a place to rest. The overall rating seemed fine, but I didn't read the reviews carefully—my mistake. The first sign of trouble was before I even reached the room: the online photos didn't match the property at all. The hallway photos looked polished and modern, but the reality was the opposite. The carpeting was heavily soiled, visibly stained, and covered in dirt. Flies swarmed the hallways, and the carpet pattern didn't match the promotional photos. The entire property felt misrepresented from the moment I entered. Inside the room, the condition worsened. The floor was so sticky that my shoes literally stuck to it, as if a large amount of soda had been spilled and never cleaned. The mirror was covered in a gross film of grime, barely functioning. I always check bedding first, and I immediately pulled back the visibly stained comforter to find dirt particles on the sheets and numerous short hairs (pubes) scattered across them. It was clear the bedding hadn't been properly cleaned or inspected between guests. The lack of cleanliness extended throughout the room: lampshades were coated in dust and grime to the point of discoloration, curtains were stiff, heavily stained, and seemed unwashed for years. Every surface appeared neglected.
