The hotel works perfectly as a base for exploring Gniezno, Żnin and the surrounding area, even Poznań; we stayed several days, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast offered a classic selection of carefully prepared, well‑seasoned dishes that pleased most palates. The à‑la‑carte menu was also very tasty and could be taken back to the room. The rooms were clean and the beds reasonably comfortable. The tap water was a problem—staff couldn’t fix it and it turned a brown‑green colour when poured into the bathtub, so the owners need to sort that out. The garden was wonderful—a glass of wine on the swing in that atmospheric setting was a definite plus. Parking included a covered area with electric‑car chargers at the back for hotel guests and a front section for events, which we used for two occasions. We’d been warned it might be noisy, yet even with the windows open we could barely make out the DJ’s track. Overall we give it a 5 with a small deduction for the water issue 🫣 and we definitely recommend it.

Breakfasts were excellent with a huge variety of dishes and a pleasant garden, but the room was sweltering because of heating pipes heating the wall, and the window could only be opened a tiny bit. That was the only downside of the stay.

The location was wonderful, the staff were extremely kind, and the breakfast was delicious, but the tiny drawback was the lack of air‑conditioning in the room—some sort of fan would have helped.

Everything was perfect: a handy location, a spotless room, a large car park, and a tasty breakfast in a cosy restaurant that even offers EV charging. The only small gripe was that the breakfast was listed as starting at 07:00, yet the restaurant didn’t open until 08:00; I’m not sure if that’s usual or just that day.
